Free Workshop Virtual - Exploring the AMD Adaptive SoC Design Flow with the VitisTM Unified IDE (PLC2 Version)

The design flow of AMD Adaptive SoCs aggregates diverse content for the different targets within these devices. Surely embedded software is one of the prominent project types that needs to be conquered but also many other project flavors for specific IP targets like the programmable logic using HLS, or even more compute focused elements like the Versal(TM) families with AI Engines. The AMD Vitis Unified IDE provides all underlying compilers and adds the all productivity tools for code entry, interactive work with the project targets and devices and also offers the path to final deployment.
During this full day seminar the Vitis Unified IDE will be introduced with all these aspects to allow to fully appreciate the typical design steps for any device targets of the Adaptive SoCs. Along a design with an AMD Adaptive SoC we will cover topics along:
  • The Vitis Workspace and IDE Frontend with its plugin infrastructure
  • Component variants for Embedded Software Projects
  • Platform Component referencing hardware designs, libraries
  • Application Component for Linux, RT and bare metal targets
  • The Software Hardware Exchange Loop
  • The System Devive Tree
  • Special Components for Hardware kernels (Acceleration)
  • Interactive Development with debugging, profiling and tracing
  • System Integration for deployment and platform creation
